Let’s Make Better is a small community-based charity in Orange NSW. It was set up in 2016 by Ian and Rochelle Ashcroft, highly regarded owners of two local IGA outlets, with the sole purpose of “giving back” to their local community.

Let’s Make Better does not limit who it will consider helping, but has a strong focus on helping the poor, the disadvantaged, the helpless, the ageing and the young.

The couple’s customers also play a huge part in the process by placing donated food items into baskets in each of their stores and through a Customer Bonus Club that also operates through their stores.

Since its inception, Let’s Make Better has helped over 50 local groups and distributed over $500,000 in funds.

In 2025, the Ashcroft’s decided to extend the operations of Let’s Make Better even more to further address local needs and people’s hardship. Their new motto will be “Together we CAN make a difference!”
